Be sure to leave an inch of excess wicking on either end.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\" face=\"arial, sans-serif\"\u003eFinally, secure the wick in place by wrapping it around a dowel, placed across the top of the mold or container, and tie into place. Using a double broiler method, place the wax melting pot into a pot of water (enough to cover 1\/3 of the melting pot.) Keep on medium high heat until it starts to melt. Stir with an old wooden or silicone spatula. Once wax begins to melt, turn heat to low or medium low to melt completely. Careful not to burn the wax. Ensure everything is on a level surface and pour the wax into your molds\/containers. The wax will shrink slightly as it sets. Be sure the wick comes out with your candle. If the wax is not completely cool, the wick may be pulled out of the candle. Trim the wick flat on the bottom and gently even out the bottom of the candle by heating it on a pan (use aluminum foil if it’s not a dedicated wax pan). Don’t leave it on heat for too long.
